As Tiger of Sweden celebrates a remarkable 110 years in business they are celebrating all  the outstanding people who have made the brand what it is today.

Ronnie McDonald, the brand’s Scottish head menswear designer, came up with the idea that Tiger is like a clan whose common thread is all those who have worked for the historical brand. But a clan is not a real clan without its own tartan.

McDonald was tasked with creating Tiger of Sweden’s own tartan as a tribute to everyone who has ever worked at Tiger and to the consumers who have worn and supported the company since its inception

A collaboration between Tiger and Daniel Harris at London Cloth Co, a company as old as Tiger itself, was the perfect fit for this exclusive once-off design. The tartan was woven on a hand loom and the pattern was registered at The Scottish Register of Tartans as Tiger’s official tartan.

The company has created one hundred jackets and one hundred scarves out of the unique tartan. The double-breasted blazer has been produced, numbered and limited to 20 countries  worldwide. South Africa will be receiving 12 blazers across their 3 stores at Sandton City, Melrose Arch and the V&A Waterfront.

A Tiger tartan blazer is must-have, and more importantly a classic keeper for any Tiger of Sweden lover!
