Latin fever
The London Collections: Men SS15 saw huge inspiration being taken from the laid-back design cultures of Latin nations such as Mexico, Brazil and Cuba. This was evident in the form of Panama hats, reworked Cuban “Guayabera” shirts, Mexican prints and fringed biker jackets.

Denim on denim
Denim on denim, known to some as the “Canadian tuxedo”, is back in vogue. Miuccia Prada paired denim jackets with denim trousers on the Spring 2015 Prada runway in Milan. To prevent this look from becoming a major fashion faux pas, avoid wearing the same shade of blue from top to bottom. Always mix light shades with darker denim washes or break up an all-denim suit with a shirt in a different fabric and colour.

Sports luxe
One of the biggest trends to emerge from the Paris and Milan runways was the casual, yet tailored sports luxe aesthetic. Athletic wear gets smart with sneakers worn with suits, while rolled-up track pants and luxe backpacks in leather and even lizard are the must-have summer accessories.

Biker jackets
Biker jackets have been a huge trend in women’s fashion of late and now, according to the people at Lanvin, it’s time for the men to follow suit. If you don’t own one already, we suggest you invest in a versatile and hard-wearing biker jacket ASAP. A black biker jacket adds instant edge and can be worn with almost anything, everywhere.

Dress-up shorts
Forget cargos, tailored shorts are the bottoms of choice this summer. Dressy enough for work, this must-have item will take you from the desk to dinner with ease. A good pair of tailored shorts should fit perfectly around the waist, follow the lines of your thighs and sit an inch or so above the knee.
