With only one fight scheduled before he plans to hangs up his boxing gloves for good, Floyd Mayweather has told an ESPN journalist that he is open for a rematch with Manny Pacquiao.

His victory last Saturday, left many fans disgruntled as they believe the Filipino should have beaten Mayweather.

Speaking after the fight, Pacquiao said he believed he had won because Mayweather did nothing in the ring.

He also blamed a shoulder injury for his own lacklustre performance, telling reporters he had asked for an injection to numb his shoulder, but that it had not been allowed.

Pacquiao is expected to undergo surgery this week.

He is also facing suspension or a fine for not revealing that he had a shoulder injury prior to Saturday’s fight.

In a text message sent to ESPN  journalist Stephen A Smith, Mayweather said he would fight Pacquiao in a year’s time when his shoulder injury had healed.
