American artist Chance The Rapper has been announced as the headline act for Castle Lite’s next big concert in 2018. It will be the first time the rapper has set foot on the continent.

Last night, Castle Lite “unlocked” its international act for the much-anticipated Castle Lite Unlocks event by breaking through an ice cold cube. For the first time in Castle Lite Unlocks history, this year’s reveal was not only experienced by the on-site guests, but was also streamed live on Facebook for citizens of Extra Cold in seven African countries.

Led by MCs DJ Warras and Bontle Modiselle, Castle Lite took the announcement to the next level by engaging with audiences both online on Facebook and offline at the event in a three-part production where chainsaws, flamethrowers and ice picks were used to break through the giant ice cube!

Boundary-pushing local artists Nadia Nakai, Shane Eagle and Frank Casino were also announced as the South African acts opening for Chance The Rapper at the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg on 30 April 2018,

Tickets are available at Computicket.
